Kebun Raya Bogor

On Thursday 11 February we went to Kebun Raya Bogor, for our excursion. At Kebun Raya Bogor we have to interview people about achievement. We mostly interview the visitors and people who work there. Our group interviewed 13 people and each people have different answers. We interviewed different range of ages, from primary students until adults and middle-ages. It took us 3 hours to get there, and 3 more hours to get back.

Why do we interview a young children? because, maybe their achievement with our achievement is different. We want really want to know what is achievement from a different perspective. We can see a lot of different achievement and way to achieve it. We really open-minded to interview a young children about their understanding about achievement and how to achieve it.

We interviewed this man,he work as a food and drink seller, he also sell some ball and instant noodle. We ask him about what is achievement, he said that achievement is, something that he can reached through a hard work, dedication and a big effort to reach the goal. He said that his achievement is to make the one that he love to be happy and to be a successful person.

We interviewed these teenager, about what is achievement for them and how to achieve it. To the detail interview we interview one of the teenager name Ahmad, He is 25 years old. We ask him what is achievement for him. He said that achievement is, something that we have achieve by hardworking and effort. If we don’t put our best effort to achieve something, it will not happen, he said. His achievement is, to get in relationship with the girl name Cindy. He said that, it’s really hard to convince her feelings to accept him to be his girlfriend. He also said that, he put a lot of effort to convince her feelings. Start from giving her flowers, joke, poem and even letter.

We interviewed this young children. We ask their understanding about achievement. They said that achievement is to do what their parents told them. We ask them what are the most challenging part in achieving something. They said that he have a problem in their lesson. Specially in maths and science. They really want to be one of the best student in their class. So we ask them how will you guys can achieve that. They told us that, to achieve it they need to learn harder and be able to be more focus during the class discussion. We even ask them how do they do that to be able to achieve what they have said before. They said that to learn harder and be more focus during the class discussion, they need a lot of effort to do that, because if we don’t put our biggest effort, we won’t be able to achieve what we have said before. It will be very useless if we just hoping something without doing it and put our biggest effort.

This is the trip to the park, we don’t use car to reach the garden.  We walk around 5-10 minute to reach the garden. We have to walk base on our group, to make sure we don’t get separated with our group during the interview.

We interviewed this man and he doesn't know anything about achievement. This man achievement is being happy and he is in that place for 6 months but he doesn’t know a thing about that place (Kebun Raya. His job for a living is offering people to use his horse for going around the kebun raya.

We interviewed this kid and ask him about his opinion about achievement. He answer achievement is something that he achieved already. We ask him about his achievement and what do he want to achieve. He said that, he achieve to be one of the potential student on his class, he good one of the highest score on mathematics and bahasa indonesia. He said that one day he want to be an astronaut, he believe that if he can’t be an astronaut it means that he not yet achieve the biggest goal that he have plant since he was really young.
